The state of Pa lost it’s Lt. Governor yesterday.  She lost her battle with cancer that she was diagnosed with in July.

Cathrine Baker Knoll broke the glass ceiling when she along with Governor Rendell ran together on the same ticket. Cathrine Baker Knoll helped Governor Rendell because he is from Philly and Catherine Baker Knoll was from Allegheny County.  She was able to convince the residents of Allegheny County that Ed Rendell was not just another big city politician.   Pittsburgh is a medium size city that has small town Western PA values.  The people in Pittsburgh are more conservative then people in other cities.

Catherine Baker Knoll is a Politician that I have followed since she was treasurer of Allegheny County.

Pittsburgh lost a native daughter and PA lost a great Lt. Governor.
